Protects against seasonal flu and its complications - recommended yearly, and especially important with chronic conditions.

Which ones you need is personal - your physician recommends based on your age, conditions, and plans.

Vaccinations, in plain English

Vaccinations are safe, proven protection against preventable illnesses like flu, pneumonia, and shingles - given in-office at all three Personal Physician Care locations and documented in your medical record.

When your vaccines come from the same practice that manages your care, nothing falls through the cracks. Your physician reviews your vaccination history, recommends what is appropriate for your age, conditions, and travel plans, and your record stays complete in one place.

This matters most for patients with chronic conditions - diabetes, COPD, heart disease - who are at higher risk from preventable illnesses. Staying current is part of managing the condition, not an extra errand.

Is this right for you?

Check whatever sounds like you. Nothing is sent anywhere - this stays on your device.

You cannot remember your last flu, pneumonia, or shingles shot
You have a chronic condition that makes preventable illness riskier
You are 65 or older and want to know what is recommended now
You have a trip coming up and want travel vaccines reviewed
You want your shot records in the same place as the rest of your care
See what this means

Who this is not for

If you have had a serious allergic reaction to a vaccine before, tell us first - some vaccines need extra planning or an allergy review.
If you need a full travel-medicine consultation for complex itineraries, we cover select travel vaccines and will tell you honestly when a dedicated travel clinic is the better fit.
If you are acutely ill today, most vaccines wait until you are well - your visit can still happen and the shot follows.

What a visit looks like

1
Before
Your physician or care team reviews your record for what is due - bring any outside shot records you have.
2
During
The vaccine itself takes a moment. We watch you briefly afterward, as with any injection.
3
After
Documented in your PPC record, so next year's "am I due?" is a lookup, not a guess.

Vaccination questions, answered

What vaccinations does PPC offer?+
Seasonal flu, pneumococcal (pneumonia), shingles, Tdap and Td boosters, hepatitis A and B, and select travel vaccines - administered in-office at all three locations. Your physician reviews your history and recommends what fits your age, health conditions, and travel plans.
Why get vaccinated at my doctor's office instead of a pharmacy?+
Your immunization record stays complete in one place, and your provider tracks what you have received and proactively recommends what is due. For patients with chronic conditions, vaccines get managed as part of the condition, not as a separate errand.
Can PPC help with travel vaccinations?+
Yes. Tell us where you are traveling and we review your records, advise what applies, and give select travel vaccines in-office. For complex itineraries that need a dedicated travel-medicine clinic, we will tell you straight.
Does insurance cover vaccines?+
Most routine adult vaccines are covered by insurance, and PPC accepts Medicare and many Medicare Advantage plans - Medicare covers flu, pneumonia, and other recommended vaccines. Your plan's specifics are confirmed before anything is given.
I do not know which shots I have had. Can you figure it out?+
Yes. Bring whatever records you have; we reconcile them with your PPC chart and check state registries where available. Going forward, everything you get here is documented in one record.
