Hormone optimization, in plain English

Hormone optimization is physician-led care that evaluates and treats hormone-related symptoms - with HRT for women, TRT for men, and thyroid care - based on your labs and your history, available at Personal Physician Care's South Florida offices.

Real hormone care is not a symptom quiz and a standard protocol. It begins with your bloodwork and your history, and it is directed and monitored by a physician - so any treatment is matched to you and watched over time.

Because it sits inside your primary care home, hormone care here fits with everything else - your other conditions, your other medications, your labs on file. Never in isolation.

Is this right for you?

Check whatever sounds like you. Nothing is sent anywhere - this stays on your device.

Your energy, sleep, or mood is not what it was and nobody has checked why
You are in perimenopause or menopause and want more than "that's just how it is"
You are a man whose energy, drive, or libido has dropped
You have been tempted by a hormone clinic or med spa but want a physician's version
You want treatment monitored with labs, not set-and-forget
See what this means

Who this is not for

If you want hormone treatment without labs, evaluation, or follow-up, we are not the right practice - that protocol-first model is exactly what this is not.
If your symptoms are new and unexplained, the first step is a medical workup, not a hormone prescription - sometimes the answer is something else entirely, and we will tell you.
Hormone therapy is not right for every medical history. Your physician will be direct if it is not right for you.

What it looks like

1
Lab-based evaluation
Bloodwork - drawn on-site - and a physician visit to understand what is actually going on.
2
Your individualized plan
If appropriate, a treatment plan matched to your labs, symptoms, and goals - including FDA-approved and bioidentical options where indicated.
3
Monitoring & adjustment
Follow-up labs and visits to keep your levels and your health on track. Nothing runs on autopilot.

Hormone questions, answered

Who is hormone therapy for?+
Men and women whose symptoms - energy, sleep, mood, libido, weight, or the changes of perimenopause and menopause - have a hormonal explanation that labs can confirm. Treatment starts with an evaluation, never a standard protocol.
What does treatment involve?+
When appropriate, an individualized plan that can include HRT for women, testosterone therapy (TRT) for men, or thyroid treatment - using FDA-approved and bioidentical options where indicated. Every plan includes follow-up labs and visits; dosing adjusts to your results.
How is this different from a hormone clinic or med spa?+
Who directs it and what else they can see. Your care is led by your physician, with your full history, medications, and labs in one record - so hormone decisions account for your heart, your metabolism, and everything else you are managing.
Does insurance cover hormone therapy?+
Physician visits and lab work are billed through your insurance; PPC accepts Medicare and many Medicare Advantage plans. Coverage for specific treatments varies - we check your plan before you start so there are no surprises.
Are there risks with hormone therapy?+
Yes, and you will hear about them plainly at your evaluation. Hormone therapy has real risks that depend on your history - which is exactly why it needs a physician, baseline labs, and ongoing monitoring rather than a subscription checkout.
