Video works well - your physician reviews your numbers and adjusts the plan.

Same record, same team - just without the drive.

Medication review or refill discussion

Video works well

  • In-house pharmacist
  • Regimen check

Video works well - with the in-house pharmacist a message away.

Refills and adjustments land in your record during the call.

Reviewing lab or imaging results

Video works well

  • Results shared
  • Explained face-to-face

Video works well - results are shared and explained face-to-face.

Your results are already in your PPC record - the call walks you through them.

New minor concern

Usually video first

  • Rash, cold symptoms
  • Quick questions

Usually video first - your provider tells you if hands-on is needed.

If it needs an exam, you will know by the end of the call.

Anything that needs an exam or testing

Office visit

  • Hands-on exam
  • In-house testing

Office visit - an in-person visit is easy to arrange.

Blood draws, imaging, and EKGs happen in-house at the office.

When in doubt, book the video visit. If you need to come in, you will know by the end of the call.

What is a telehealth visit at PPC?

A telehealth visit is a secure video appointment with your PPC physician, used for follow-ups, medication reviews, results conversations, and minor concerns - available to PPC patients anywhere in Florida.

Unlike a random telehealth app, your video visit connects to the same medical record and often the same physician who knows your history. Nothing starts from zero.

If your provider decides something needs a hands-on exam or in-house testing, an in-person visit is easy to arrange - the two doors work together.

Is this right for you?

Check whatever sounds like you. Nothing is sent anywhere - this stays on your device.

You have a follow-up or medication check that does not need an exam
You want lab or test results explained face-to-face without the drive
Driving or mobility makes office visits costly for you
You are traveling in Florida and something non-urgent came up

Who is a video visit not for?

If you need a physical exam, blood draw, imaging, or EKG, that needs the office - we will get you booked in.
If it is an emergency - chest pain, stroke signs, severe injury - call 911, not a video visit.
If you are outside Florida, tell us when booking - licensing rules limit where our physicians can treat by video.

What does a video visit look like?

1
Before
Book by phone. Joining instructions arrive through the patient portal - test your camera a few minutes early.
2
During
A private, secure video conversation with your provider, just like the office - history, questions, plan.
3
After
The visit, the plan, and any prescriptions go into your PPC record. Follow-ups happen by video or in office as fits.

Telehealth questions, answered

Does PPC offer telehealth appointments?+
Yes - secure video visits for PPC patients anywhere in Florida. They are well suited to follow-ups, medication reviews, results conversations, and minor non-urgent concerns, all connected to your regular medical record.
How do I join a video visit?+
Instructions arrive through the patient portal before your appointment. At the scheduled time you connect by secure video and speak with your provider just as you would in the office. A few minutes early for a camera check is plenty.
Can every visit be a video visit?+
No - anything needing a physical exam, blood draw, imaging, or EKG requires the office. The good news: an in-person visit is easy to arrange when your provider recommends one.
Does insurance cover telehealth?+
Video visits are billed through your insurance like office visits, and PPC accepts Medicare and many Medicare Advantage plans. Your plan's copay or deductible applies.
Can new patients use telehealth?+
Telehealth works best for established patients, since it builds on your existing record and relationships. New patients start with an in-office visit - call and we will set that up.
