Our endocrinologists

Dr. Danielle Neuman, M.D., MBA is board-certified in endocrinology and internal medicine. She leads Personal Physician Care's endocrine and metabolic programs, including diabetes technology, hormone optimization, and medical weight management.

Dr. William A. Shapse, M.D. has practiced endocrinology in South Florida since 1989 - more than 35 years of specialized experience. He trained at the Joslin Diabetes Center and manages the full range of thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic disease.

Both see patients at Personal Physician Care's South Florida offices, which means thyroid disease, diabetes, hormonal conditions, PCOS, adrenal disorders, and osteoporosis are managed within the practice - no referral to an outside specialist, no records lost between offices.

Endocrinology, in plain English

Hormones touch almost everything - energy, weight, blood sugar, bone strength, mood. When one is off, the symptoms often look like five other problems first. An endocrinologist's job is to find the actual signal: the right labs, read in the right context, followed over time.

Labs are drawn at every office, and thyroid ultrasound is done at our Delray Beach office when indicated. Results go straight to the physician who ordered them, and treatment starts from your full medical record - not a faxed fragment of it.

What it looks like

1

Evaluation

A visit with one of our endocrinologists - history, symptoms, current medications, and prior labs or imaging reviewed.

2

Workup

Labs are drawn at every office, and thyroid ultrasound is done at our Delray Beach office when indicated. Most patients complete the workup without an outside appointment.

3

Your plan

A clear diagnosis and treatment plan - medication, monitoring, and what to watch for - coordinated with your primary care physician under the same roof.

4

Follow-up

Levels are rechecked on a real schedule and the plan is adjusted. Chronic hormone conditions are managed long-term, not visit to visit.
