Youthful Skin, Botox and Dermal Fillers

Let the beautifully appointed offices at Personal Physician Care be your premier destination for all your facial rejuvenation and skin care needs.  Many of our own physicians are both specially trained to help you achieve a natural, refreshed look through a variety of the latest and most advanced medical grade treatments available.

An injection can make a world of difference in how you look and feel about your appearance. Botox is a popular, safe, and effective injectable that reduces facial lines caused by dynamic wrinkles and creases for 3-4 months by reducing the strength of targeted muscles in the face. Dynamic wrinkles are produced by contraction of muscles that causes the skin to bunch together, forming lines between the bulk of the muscle. The most common areas for dynamic wrinkles are frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across the forehead, and lines extending from the outer corners of the eyes, often referred to as “crow’s feet”. Over time, dynamic wrinkles become permanent wrinkles in the skin – even at rest, but regular injections of Botox can not only prevent most dynamic skin wrinkles, but milder static wrinkles may be improved as well.

Your Personal Physician Care doctor can also use injections to target specific muscles, such as those that pull the eyebrows up or down.  Both brow position and shape can be skillfully adjusted with precise injections for aesthetically pleasing results.  Placement in the crow’s feet region can not only soften creases, but help keep the eyes more open when smiling.

Another popular treatment option for both men and women is injection with a volumizing dermal filler such as Belotero, Juvederm, Perlane, Prevelle Silk or Restylane. Aging skin is often characterized by a volume loss of subcutaneous tissues in the face and bone loss from the skull. This combined facial volume loss contributes to skin laxity, wrinkles, and hollowing that makes people look older. Restoring lost volume with dermal fillers accomplishes significant rejuvenation for many Personal Physician Care patients without the downtime of surgery.
