Same-Day Emergency Appointments

See a doctor when YOU need to see a doctor. If you are in need of immediate medical care but you are not sick enough to go to the emergency room, you will be given a same-day emergency appointment with your primary care physician or another available physician at our practice.  Call us at 561-498-5660 and our receptionist will schedule you for a consultation right away.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911.

No one wants to pay out-of-pocket for services that should be covered by a health insurance plan. If you require the services of a specialist, we recognize the importance of getting a health care referral in order for the claim to be covered by your health insurance policy. With our 90% same-day referral rate, you will most likely receive your referral from your primary care physician to a specialty care physician within the same business day. For referrals, please contact our referral dept. at 561-498-5660 Ext. 333.

Just like the concierge at a fine hotel, our Personal Physician Care medical concierge will help facilitate and coordinate your visit.

Some services we provide include:

·   Help  and guidance navigating through the complexities of specialist referrals, diagnostic testing, and insurance plans

·   Setting up appointments for in-house physician consultations, diagnostic exams, and lab visits

·   Coordinating  patients’ insurance plans with corresponding physicians, facilities, and services

·   Convenient one-stop location for picking up test results, prescriptions, and other inquiries

·   Providing copies of medical records and other information upon patients’ requests

At Personal Physician Care, all of our diagnostic services are performed by certified technicians. We offer the following in-house diagnostics and testing services:

·   Digital X-Rays – Digital X-Rays provide clearer, more defined images and allow for easier, faster transmission of results. Patient’s radiographies are available as a digital file that allows immediate reading of the x-ray and to be easily saved as part of the patient’s medical record. Digital x-rays can also be copied onto a disc for your convenience.

·   Ultrasounds – A fundamental non-invasive diagnostic tool. We perform a variety of ultrasounds on various organ systems throughout the body.

·   Electrocardiography (EKG) – Measures the electrical activity of the heartbeat to find unexplained chest pain, causes of heart disease symptoms, and other conditions. With the EKG, your physician can determine the speed (normal or slow/fast or irregular) of the electrical activity as well as whether parts of the heart are too large or overworked.

·   Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) - a group of tests that measure how well the lungs take in and release air and how well they move gases, such as oxygen, from the atmosphere into the body's circulation. (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003853.htm)

·   Bone Density Testing - evaluates the strength of your bones by measuring a small part of one or a few bones to detect conditions such as osteoporosis or bone loss. Such testing is done in our office and read by a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. Early detection using bone density measurements is the best way to prevent complications from bone loss. (http://www.webmd.com/osteoporosis/guide/who-needs-bone-density-testing)

·   Nerve Conducting Testing - measures how efficiently the nerves can send electrical signals. (http://www.webmd.com/brain/electromyogram-emg-and-nerve-conduction-studies)

·   ICG Test – Non-invasive test that measures your heart's ability to deliver blood to the rest of your body, the force needed for each heartbeat, and the amount of fluid in your chest.

·   Ankle-Brachial Index Test (ABI) –  Diagnoses conditions such as Peripheral Arterial Disease by comparing the blood pressure in the ankle to blood pressure in the arm to show how well blood is flowing through the limbs. (http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/pad/pad_diagnosis.html)

·   Echocardiogram – Examines a patient’s heart, using ultrasound technology, to evaluate the size of the heart’s chambers as well as the pumping function of the heart. This helps identify certain types of heart disease. (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003869.htm)

Our laboratory is state-certified by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), run by certified lab technologists and technicians, and regulated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Emergency stat results can be provided while you have your doctor’s appointment (please allow our doctors time to review your test results). Our lab accepts Medicare, many insurances, and private payments.

Hours of Operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm.

A leader in using this technology, Personal Physician Care allows complete electronic health documentation of our patients’ medical histories. With these computerized records, a patient’s information such as insurance, medical history, medication and allergies, immunization status, test results, x-ray images, and billing information improves the quality of health care and reduces medical errors. Your records can also be more efficiently sent to hospitals or specialists as needed.  A patient’s electronic medical records can be made available upon request.

For your convenience, the on-site Humana pharmacy is located in Suite E-311, a few steps away from our office. In addition, designated parking for prescription drop-off and pick-up is assigned to facilitate your trip to the pharmacy. Patients living within a designated local area may also be eligible for home mail delivery of pharmaceuticals.
